The Moroccan Mall was opened on December 11, 2011.
It is the biggest mall in Africa at 590,000 square meters (6,350,707 square feet) making it the 4th biggest mall in the world.
Paranormal Activity
Rumour says a cemetery was removed to build the mall. Well, the stones were moved but the bodies were left. Apparently, there’s a mausoleum near the mall that is all that is visibly left from the cemetery.
People have reported seeing apparitions walking in the mall amidst all the live visitors as well as after dark when the mall is closed.
Other reported activity: phantom footsteps and other unexplained sounds; disembodied voices; electrical disturbances and feeling as if you are being watched.
It needs to be said that there are just as many people who say it’s all stories made up to stop people from shopping at the mall. It seems strange that anyone would want to discredit the mall which has a boon to the Country’s economy, but stranger things have happened.
